(remote) Mid/Senior Fullstack Engineer

Permanent employee, Full-time · remote europe
66,000 - 90,000 € per year
Your mission
We're looking for a Mid-to-Senior Fullstack Engineer who enjoys being hands-on and building end-to-end. This is not a role for someone moving away from coding—we want someone who thrives on shipping features, evolving systems, and solving real problems.

You'll work closely with our Head of Engineering and small cross-functional team to improve our GraphQL-based architecture, optimize performance, and increase delivery velocity. You'll help us scale the platform while keeping things simple, fast, and maintainable.

As an early-stage startup, we value adaptability, initiative, and fast learning. You’ll thrive here if you’re comfortable navigating ambiguity, iterating quickly, and contributing to a mission-driven product.
As a senior individual contributor, you’ll work closely with the Head of Engineering, supporting technical direction and ensuring alignment between implementation and architecture through hands-on execution.

Your profile

Core Responsibilities

  • Build and own key initiatives across the fullstack—from data models to GraphQL APIs to frontend UI
  • Simplify our hybrid Hasura-Yoga architecture and reduce technical debt
  • Make smart trade-offs between speed, quality, and long-term sustainability
  • Collaborate through pairing, code reviews, and cross-functional planning
  • Contribute to system-level design and best practices

What You Bring

Must-Haves:
  • 3–7 years experience building and maintaining web applications
  • Strong fundamentals in backend development (Node.js, PostgreSQL) and confidence in React/Next.js
  • Experience working with GraphQL APIs (Hasura/Yoga is a bonus, not required)
  • Enjoys collaborating and growing with a team
  • Curious, pragmatic, and execution-oriented mindset
  • Startup or product environment experience
Nice-to-Haves:
  • Experience with technologies like Hasura, Yoga GraphQL Server, Prisma, and schema stitching
  • Experience with system performance optimization and CI/CD workflows
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure, Docker and continuous delivery
  • Experience in ClimateTech, geospatial data, or scientific computing environments

Logistics

  • Reports directly to the Head of Engineering
  • Remote within CET ± 2 h, 3x year team offsites + optional workshops
  • High autonomy, rapid iteration, and collaborative team work
  • Work in a small and impactful team of four engineers and QA
